The OneCreek Seasonal Restoration Technician Program is continuing into Winter 2022. Applications are now being accepted!
After a successful fall season, Putah Creek Council is excited to host our seasonal restoration traingin program during the early months of 2022. This program is popular among people looking to gain experience in habitat restoration and conservation fields. Providing hands-on experiences to participants, the internship creates connections between interns and representatives from local agencies within the Putah Creek Watershed.
Working with experts in habitat restoration, native plant landscaping, outdoor recreation management, native plant propagation, and nursery operations, interns are offered an introduction to and receive basic hands-on experience and job training in these career paths. The internship meets twice weekly at various restoration sites within the Putah Creek Watershed and Putah Creek Council’s Native Plant Nursery. Special emphasis this winter season will be put on California native plant production in PCC’s Putah Creek Nursery.
The Winter 2022 season is set to run for ~8 weeks from early February to mid-to-late March.
Program participants will work under the supervision of Putah Creek Council staff to gain hands-on experience with plant care, planting, fieldwork, etc. This is an excellent experience to gain knowledge from meeting and working alongside other regional restoration professionals.
To apply for the Winter 2022 OneCreek Putah Creek Restoration Program, please complete this online application. Rolling applications will be accepted, with priority given to earlier applications. Interns will be notified of their acceptance beginning in early to mid-January. This is a paid internship opportunity based on $15/hour.
