The OneCreek Internship is continuing into Summer 2021. Applications are now being accepted!
After a successful spring internship season, Putah Creek Council is excited to host our internship program during the summer months. This program is popular among people looking to gain experience in habitat restoration and conservation fields. Providing hands-on experiences to participants, the internship creates connections between interns and representatives from local agencies/ stakeholders within the Putah Creek Watershed. Working with experts in habitat restoration, native plant landscaping, outdoor recreation management, native plant propagation, and nursery operations, interns are offered an introduction to and receive basic hands-on experience and job training in these career paths.
The Summer 2021 Internship is set to run for ~8 weeks from early July to mid to late August.
Program participants will work under the supervision of Putah Creek Council staff to gain hands-on experience with plant care, planting, fieldwork, etc. This is an excellent experience to gain knowledge from meeting and working alongside other regional restoration professionals.
To apply for the Summer 2021 OneCreek | Putah Creek Restoration Internship, please complete this online application. Rolling applications will be accepted, with priority given to earlier applications. Applicants will be contacted for interviews starting in mid-June. Interns will be notified of their acceptance beginning in late June. A stipend is provided upon completion of the internship.
