Join us on January 25th from 9:30AM-12:30PM to revegetate Chickahominy Slough with native plants! This site was formerly filled with non-native Arundo donax which has since been mostly eradicated. We will also be doing pole cuttings of remaining dead Arundo stands. This is a collaborative project between Putah Creek Council and the Yolo Resource Conservation District. Putah Creek Council’s OneCreek interns will be joining us, so there will be a brief educational component as well.
All necessary equipment, water, and snacks will be provided. This event is open to all community members regardless of skill and previous experience! We will teach you how to use the tools and the best method for planting. All ages are welcome, but a guardian is recommended for children under 13.
For any questions about this event please contact Maddie Galal (firstname.lastname@example.org).
