Creek Explorers Field Day: Plant-Palooza

May 13, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Saturday, May 13, 2023 @ 9 am- 12 pm

Explore the fascinating world of the plants that call Putah Creek home, and discover plants’ special skills called adaptations. What’s an adaptation? Find out how they help plants survive through a game show and a scavenger hunt. Create your own plant with special talents that help them survive whether it’s hot, rainy or snowy! Get ready for Mother’s Day, by planting a native plant, and designing a pressed-flower card that will make great gifts. Join Putah Creek Council for free-form and hands-on educational activities and a volunteer stewardship opportunity at this drop-in event at Lake Solano Park. Earn your official Plant-palooza badge, and leave with free giveaways like a nature journal, and a native plant. No registration required!

Creek Explorers is Putah Creek Council’s new series of free, drop-in family events that will take place at Lake Solano Park, at 8685 Pleasants Valley Rd, Winters, CA 9569, on 20 Saturdays from
September 2022- June 2023. See the Creek Explorers page at
https://putahcreekcouncil.org/what-we-do/education/creek-explorers/ for the whole calendar of events and more information.

If you have questions, or would like to bring a large group, such as a girl scout troop or cub scout pack, to a Creek Explorers event, please email Lauren, Education Manager at lauren@putahcreekcouncil.org.
