Explore how pollution moves across the land into our creeks, rivers, and even oceans! Search for possible pollutants in a scavenger hunt, play a game to help keep pollution from entering our groundwater, and learn about how common items like soap, oil, and trash get into our waterways! Join Putah Creek Council for free-form and hands-on educational activities and a volunteer stewardship opportunity at this drop-in event at Lake Solano Park. Earn your official Pollution Tracker badge, and leave with free giveaways like a nature journal. No registration required!
Creek Explorers is Putah Creek Council’s new series of free, drop-in family events at Lake Solano Park (8685 Pleasants Valley Rd, Winters, CA 9569), on 20 Saturdays from September 2022- June 2023. See the Creek Explorers page at https://putahcreekcouncil.org/what-we-do/education/creek-explorers/ for the whole calendar of events and more information.
If you have questions, or would like to bring a large group, such as a girl scout troop or cub scout pack, to a Creek Explorers event, please email Lauren, Education Manager at lauren@putahcreekcouncil.org.
