Creek Explorers Field Day: Water Critters

December 3, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Saturday, December 3, 9 am-12 pm

Meet the critters, called macroinvertebrates, that call Putah Creek home. Did you know these insects can tell us if the water is polluted? Draw your favorite water critter, go on a pollution scavenger hunt, and find out if a body of water is polluted by searching for water critters. Join Putah Creek Council for free-form and hands-on educational activities and a volunteer stewardship opportunity at Lake Solano Park. Earn your official Water Critters badge, and leave with free giveaways like a nature journal. No registration required!

Creek Explorers is Putah Creek Council’s new series of free family events that will take place at Lake Solano Park, at 8685 Pleasants Valley Rd, Winters, CA 9569, on 20 Saturdays from September 2022- June 2023. See the Creek Explorers page at https://putahcreekcouncil.org/what-we-do/education/creek-explorers/ for the whole calendar of events and more information.

If you have questions, or would like to bring a large group, such as a girl scout troop or cub scout pack, to a Creek Explorers event, please email Lauren, Education Manager at lauren@putahcreekcouncil.org.
