Docent in Residence: Stargazing at Lake Solano

October 22, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join Lake Solano Docents for a free, guided stargazing walk at Lake Solano Park on Saturday, October 22, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, as part of Putah Creek Council’s Docent in Residence Weekend.
Meet at the Lake Solano Park Nature Center, at 8685 Pleasants Valley Rd, Winters, CA 95694 to begin your stroll through Lake Solano Park. Carla Murphy will be your guide for this evening event exploring the night skies. This is a good opportunity to learn some constellations and appreciate the quiet of the park at night!
This tour is appropriate for any ages that are happy being out at that hour, and families and groups are welcome. Please prepare for the weather and variable conditions by bringing water, wearing sturdy shoes for rough terrain, and dressing in layers to protect from mosquitoes. A blanket or camp chair is recommended. The tour will be rescheduled in the event of poor weather. The evening’s activities are free, and parking is $6 per vehicle payable at the east entrance to the Park, on the day use side (cash or check, exact change only).
The Lake Solano Docent Program is thanks to a partnership between Putah Creek Council and Solano County Parks.
