Lake Solano Park Docent Program Training

April 9 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

A Lake Solano Park docent leads a guided nature walk. Help reinvigorate Putah Creek Council’s Lake Solano Park (LSP) Docent Program by becoming a docent! Join us for the first of a series of LSP Docent training sessions at the Lake Solano Park Nature Center. Putah Creek Council is looking for nature-minded volunteers to bring their knowledge and skills to help create and present activities for LSP visitors. In the past, LSP docents have led canoe tours, guided nature walks, and stargazing events, but we are also looking for musicians, artists, yoga instructors, birders, and more to bring their talents to the park!

Attendees will learn about what it means to be a Lake Solano Park docent and about the cultural and natural history of Lake Solano and the Putah Creek Watershed. We will finish the day by taking a guided hike of the park, led by an experienced LSP docent!
