Peterson Ranch is former graze land that Solano County Water Agency purchased and is restoring with native wetland and upland plants with the goal of supporting pollinator species, creating habitat for burrowing owls, and creating a mitigation bank for a state water project. For this event, we will be planting native trees, shrubs, and flowering plants into a roadside hedgerow to support native wildlife and pollinators.
No experience necessary!
Wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. This site is quite windy, dusty, and exposed. Sunglasses are highly recommended to keep dust out of your eyes, as well as a windbreaker. Bring a reusable water bottle. Water, snacks, and all necessary equipment will be provided. No prior experience is needed and all are welcome!
This event is in collaboration with the Solano County Water Agency and a few of their staff will be joining us for this planting event.
