Join us on February 17th from 10:00AM-1:00PM to plant a variety of native plants on an area of land between Dixon, Suisun City, and Rio Vista known as Peterson Ranch. This is a collaborative project between Putah Creek Council and the Solano County Water Agency.
Please wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a reusable water bottle. All necessary equipment, water, and snacks will be provided. This event is open to all community members regardless of skill and previous experience! We will teach you how to use the tools and the best method for planting.
Please note that volunteers will need to walk about 0.5 miles on unpaved terrain to reach the planting site. We will be planting on a streambank, and volunteers may have to do a small amount of climbing on uneven, muddy terrain. Because of this, volunteers for this specific event must be ages 12 or older. Children under the age of 14 will need an adult accompanying them at this event.
