October CreekSpeak: Climate Change, Vegetation, Restoration, and Seed Transfers

Join Putah Creek Council and Jim Thorne of UC Davis as he discusses how climate change projections can be incorporated into restoration and conservation planning. 

Jim Thorne is a landscape ecologist working at the University of California, Davis. He primarily focuses on spatial assessments of climate change risk, and he creates frameworks that can be used by land managers for adaptation, conservation, and sustainability planning. He has over 30 years’ experience working in California ecosystems.

CreekSpeak is Putah Creek Council’s six month speaker series on the nature, history, and culture of the Putah Cache Watershed, and more broadly, the state of California. CreekSpeaks take place on Zoom on the third Thursday of each month from May to November. Register for this event to learn more about how climate change impacts restoration and conservation efforts.
