Saturday, September 24 9-11 am at Lake Solano Park
Join Lake Solano Park Docent Linda Allison on a two-hour hour guided canoe tour on Lake Solano on Saturday, September 24th. Spend a morning taking in the beautiful views of Lake Solano’s riparian habitat, with wonderful opportunities to spot some of the wildlife that calls Lake Solano home.
The canoe tour begins at 9 AM at Lake Solano Park, located at 8685 Pleasants Valley Rd, Winters, CA 95694. This event is free, but all visitors to Lake Solano are required to pay Lake Solano Park’s day use parking fee of $8 per vehicle. This fee gains you admittance to the park for the rest of the day.
The program is limited to 12 guests. Children age 8 and older are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Canoes, paddles, and lifejackets will be provided free of charge, with a basic safety and paddling discussion at the beginning. Participants may want to bring water, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. You may get wet, so shoes/pants that can get wet and a change of clothes is recommended.
The Lake Solano Docent Program is thanks to a partnership between Putah Creek Council and Solano County Parks.
