Join us on November 11th from 9:30AM-12:30PM to build cages around young trees in the Lake Solano Day-Use Area! Caging protects our young native trees from potentially fatal wildlife damage. We may also have additional time to plant 10 new trees! This is a collaborative project between Putah Creek Council, Solano Resource Conservation District, and Solano County Parks.
Please wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a reusable water bottle. All necessary equipment, water, and snacks will be provided. Please note that this is a public event, but attendees must be ages 15 or older because the caging materials are not appropriate for younger children.
Meeting Location: Lake Solano Park Day-Use Area. The address for Lake Solano is 8685 Pleasants Valley Rd, Winters, CA 95694, however this is the address for the campsite. The Day-Use Area is on the other side of Pleasants Valley Rd and is labeled as such. Please park in the day-use parking lot and walk down towards the water. Look for the Putah Creek Council signs. Thanks so much for your help!
