World Environment Day

June 1 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us on June 1st from 9AM to roughly 1PM at Lake Solano Park to celebrate World Environment Day in partnership with the Solano Resource Conservation District. In Solano County, we celebrate with an annual cleanup event at Lake Solano and Lake Berryessa that gathers community members from across the county to care for our shared drinking water source. In addition to the cleanup, enjoy kayak tours, planting activities, a native plant seed bar, and free lunch. You can learn more about the event here: https://www.cleanupsolano.org/home/world-env-day

Please wear sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a reusable water bottle. All necessary equipment, water, and snacks will be provided. This event is open to all community members regardless of skill and previous experience! All ages are welcome, but a guardian is required for children under 12.

Meeting Location: Lake Solano County Park Day-Use Area. The address for Lake Solano Campsite is 8685 Pleasants Valley Rd, Winters, CA 95694. The Day-Use Area is across the street from the Campsite.

Please do not attend any PCC volunteer event if you have had a COVID-19 exposure or are experiencing any COVID or cold/flu symptoms. For any questions about this event please contact Maddie Galal (maddie@putahcreekcouncil.org).

NOTE: Please do not sign up with a school email. Our messages have been sent to spam in the past, and personal email is better for event communication. Thank you for understanding!
