Become a Volunteer Environmental Educator

The Putah Creek Council Education Team helps run field trips and other educational outreach for our elementary and middle school programs. Our Education Team attends field trips for our WaterWays, Adopt a Flat, Salmon in the Classroom, and other school education programs.

All programs aim to foster a connection and facilitate environmental literacy between young people and Putah Creek. If you enjoy engaging with children and helping them learn about the wonders of nature, come out to volunteer today!

Field trips happen during school hours and therefore volunteers must be available to attend field trips during weekday school hours, Monday through Friday. There’s no need to be an expert as training and materials are provided! We ask our volunteers to be passionate about the environment and eager to share their knowledge and experiences with young people!
