Putah Creek Council supports regional ecosystems through advocacy, education and community-based stewardship. We envision Putah Creek as a thriving corridor of native riparian and aquatic ecosystems connecting the Coast Ranges to the Sacramento River and the Delta. We envision a Putah Creek watershed community of people who value their creek and are committed to its stewardship. PCC’s Stewardship Program works to engage the local community in hands-on activities to improve the health of Putah Creek and its associated riparian ecosystems.
Putah Creek Council is seeking an experienced restoration planner and practitioner to take on the role of Stewardship Manager. The Stewardship Manager oversees all PCC stewardship activities, including restoration planning, volunteer events, restoration project design and implementation, and related activities.
The Stewardship Manager must have an undergraduate degree (advanced degree preferred) in ecology, natural resources, conservation biology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful applicant will have experience with habitat restoration activities, including plant and irrigation installation, and a demonstrated proficiency in geospatial mapping tools (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS).
