Putah Creek Spring Cleanup: April 23rd!

For over 30 years, Putah Creek Council has been keeping the creek clean thanks to dedicated volunteers that come out year after year to lend a helping hand. Every year, PCC hosts a fall cleanup (on California Coastal Cleanup Day in September) and a spring cleanup. The time has come to do some spring cleaning! Join us on April 23rd from 9 am to noon to get dirty while cleaning up! Trash in the creek isn’t only unsightly, it’s also a hazard to the plants and animals that call Putah Creek home. Since urban runoff finds its way to the creek, there’s often plenty of cans, plastics, and other debris that has no business swimming with the turtles!

Join us for a morning of spring cleaning at Winters Nature Park on April 23rd! This year, volunteers will help pickup trash along Putah Creek Road (the section that borders Winters Nature Park) and within the park proper. Additionally, volunteers can help with tree cage debris removal and help free from trees from debris from winter rains! All ages are welcome!
