Putah Creek Council has been hosting creek cleanups along Putah Creek for over 30 years.
Every year, the Council participates in California Coastal Cleanup Day in September. The largest of our cleanup events, Coastal Cleanup Day brings together hundreds of volunteers to remove illegally dumped trash from the creek and surrounding areas. Check out photos from our previous Coastal Cleanup Days.

The Council also hosts a Spring Creek Cleanup Day in April or May of each year. Typically a smaller event, this cleanup event brings volunteers together to do a bit of spring cleanup before the summer season- a time that sees a lot of usage along Putah Creek!
Key regions that the Council visits are: Winters Putah Creek Nature Park and Putah Creek Road, Dry Creek, Stephenson Bridge, UC Davis Riparian Reserve, City of Davis South Fork Preserve, and other regions based on need.
We are making great strides, but we can’t do it without you!
